Back when Rise of the Tomb Raider was first announced, Square-Enix said the game would eventually come out on the PS4 (it’s been Xbox One-exclusive thus far) and now they’re finally following through on their promise after nearly a year. The recently-announced Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration will bring the original game, all the DLC, and an all-new expansion to the PS4 in one jam-packed package.
The new expansion is entitled Blood Ties and follows Lara Croft as she explores her now-abandoned childhood home, which is now in a state of disrepair and haunted by all manner of ghosts from her past. This isn’t the Croft Manor you remember running around in the past — it’s more like something out of a Resident Evil game. Speaking of which, you’ll also have to defend your creepy house from an onslaught of zombies and other grotesque creatures. Seems a little out-there for a Tomb Raider title, but hey, Lara’s been shooting dinosaurs in the face right from the beginning, so I suppose nothing is off the table.
Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration hits shelves October 11. Oh, and don’t worry, Xbox One owners who already own the game can download Blood Ties as DLC.
