You probably think you know the joke behind this video, considering the, ah, limited vocabulary of both participants, but that said, Hodor vs. Groot, courtesy of The Warp Zone, is pretty funny just on its own. And there’s a little more to it than you might expect.
First, just listen to the whole thing, trust us. Then, go back and flip on the closed captioning to see what they’re actually saying in the video. Suffice to say, it’s worth it just to imagine Groot using the phrase “F*ck birches, get money,” but there are plenty of Game of Thrones-themed insults to go around. Apparently, even sentient trees from space are keeping up with the Starks.
