Matt Damon took a break from shirtlessly filming the next Jason Bourne movie to promote The Martian at the Toronto International Film Festival. When asked if he’s heard his Ben Affleck’s Batman voice for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice yet, he laughed and said:
“I haven’t been like, ‘Come on, dude, just do it once.'”
Total missed opportunity. If I were Matt Damon, I would take numerous showers and then ask Ben Affleck to record my outgoing voicemail message as Batman. I mean, seriously.
Damon hasn’t played a superhero, but he did say during the interview that “Jason Bourne is my superhero.” When asked how Bourne would fare in a fight with Batman, he dropped the money quote:
“Jason Bourne would kick the sh*t out of Batman — absolutely! Batman’s gotta take on Superman first. If he could beat him then maybe he could take on Jason Bourne.”
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT.
That GIF may be a bit of a non sequitur, but I just can’t take a fight between Bourne and Batman seriously. I’ve always seen them more as potential sidekicks…
