Kellan Lutz Is Ready To Be Your Next He-Man In A ‘Masters Of The Universe’ Movie

Take a second, if you will, to imagine what the world needs now more than anything. Some of you might have come up with peace on earth or a stronger global economy or something to that effect. Well we’re here to tell you that you’re wrong. Because what the world needs more than anything, is a new movie about He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. And dammit, we need that movie as soon as possible.

Thankfully, a group of devoted fans are on our wavelength and started a Change.org petition to try to make it happen. That’s right, 462 people who whisper “I have the power” to themselves before they go to sleep every night, implored Sony to make this movie happen. And now, thanks to none other than noted thespian Kellan Lutz, it appears to be a go.

Lutz, late of 2014’s The Legend of Hercules and the Twilight movies, looks to be strapping on his armor and weaponry under the watchful eye of the director McG in an effort to right this wrong and bring He-Man, Skeletor and all their rowdy friends back to theaters. Will the new movie will have anything to do with the previous attempt to bring these characters to the big screen, 1987’s Masters of the Universe, which starred Dolph Lundgren, Frank Langella and Courtney Cox (!!!), or the ’80s animated series of the same name? One can only hope.
