Star Wars Land is going to be big, like Starkiller Base big. That’s the takeaway from Disney’s latest update for the highly-anticipated theme park.
More artwork for the attraction was revealed during Disney’s Summer Awakens Media Event, and while a lot of it was similar to or the same as the Harrison Ford-revealed art from February, there was some particularly cool new footage from a Millennium Falcon ride and more. There’s hope to be found in the fact that Disney is releasing some exciting teasers while keeping most of the park details and concepts under wraps. It seems they really want to get this right, and given that Disney is responsible for the only tolerable Star Wars movie released this century, we owe them the benefit of the doubt.
In addition to the above video, there is also new concept art of what to expect from the Hollywood Studios version of Star Wars Land in Florida.
Luckily, it looks like we’re still getting the Millennium Falcon, street markets, and the Mos Eisley cantina. We figure those AT-ATs and X-Wings from the groundbreaking ceremony have to be a bear to build around, but it will be worth it when we all get to try our hand at becoming the next whiny desert brat who does good for himself.
Of course, two new parks aren’t the only Star Wars-related thing that Disney is cooking up. The trailer for the first movie to take place outside of the Skywalker clan garnered such an insanely positive reaction that Industrial Light and Magic felt the need to respond.
