Mark Rantal started eating Chipotle every day by accident, having simply accompanied some friends to Chipotle after a couple of consecutive days going by himself, and then next thing he knew, he was living every American’s dream. When he realized a pattern had developed, Rantal decided to just go for the gold and make a goal for himself: eat Chipotle every day for 100 days. He is currently on Day 106, so maybe he’s going for 200.
But if you’re thinking he’s pulling a Super Size Me like Morgan Spurlock and eating nothing but Chipotle food just to prove a point, think again. He only has lunch there, and the same lunch: “a burrito bowl with white rice, pinto beans, fajitas, sofritas, mild salsa, corn, medium salsa, cheese and lettuce,” then a bag of chips and water. And while he has gained 14 pounds, those are pounds he was actually trying to gain back anyway. (He had lost that weight after eating vegetarian, so he clearly knew that he wasn’t really living and wised up fast.) He also reports feeling “great,” according to Eater.
And yes, the staff do throw him a bone and give him a free meal every 10 visits or so. It’s the least they could do for a man who knows how life really works.
