There isn’t much to say about the current state of invention aside from the fact that whoever created a hot tub hammock is either a brilliant genius or an evil monster bent on destroying the human race by putting hot water into one of the world’s hardest-to-get-into relaxation options. If you can barely get into a regular hammock, prepare to up the ante!
The Hydro Hammock, which is currently in its Kickstarter phase, can be used both off the ground (for that weightless floating feeling) and in the ground (not on the ground!) by digging a giant hole in the sand and placing the hammock inside it. I don’t know how I feel about all that (there is nothing more frightening than drowning while in the air), but it sure looks cool. And, for a small price ($280-$390) this hammock can absolutely be yours at some point in the near future.
Gizmodo reports that the hammock comes in both single and double versions and can hold up to 50 gallons of hot water and up to two reasonably-sized adults, depending on the model you’re getting.
Isn’t technology amazing?
