We’ve all been there. About to board a very full airplane when the flight attendant announces that they need volunteers to check a bag. A wave of terror washes through your body. The last time you checked your bag it ended up in Peru for five days. Plus, you imagine the hassle of having to wait for it on the other end at *gulp* baggage claim. Watching bag after bag come through the carousel while your ride texts you repeatedly = pure misery.
It sounds awful. But won’t happen to you, right? Your bag is of a standard size. You’ve flown with it a million times before. They can’t make you check it… right? The thing is that your bag really isn’t too big. But with the way you pack, shoving things haphazardly from all angles, it does look….bulge-y. You cringe thinking of how you could barely close it when you shoved your sneakers onto the top. It makes the bag look way bigger than it is.
I’m a monster when I pack. I grab things as I think of them, and if you think I fold them before tossing them in? You’re absolutely crazy. So I end up with bags that look too full and get forcibly checked. And even if I do get to keep my bag, my clothes are horribly wrinkled and (because my suitcase was such a disaster zone) I usually realize I forgot something vital. Like underwear.
Which is why I am IN LOVE with this luggage shelf.

You can put everything in its place, folded, and then just collapse it into your suitcase. All your shit stays nice, your suitcase is packed well, and it isn’t bulging with nonsense. And the best part is that when you get where you’re going you can simply pull it out and hang it up nicely. No more digging frantically through to find that one shirt you’re sure you put in there for dinner. No more hanging things in the bathroom while you shower to “steam the wrinkles out”. It saves you all of the time.
The video shows you all the cool extra features the shelf has too (like a laundry bag!!!), and it makes me glad I have one on the way. It seems crazy that I’ve lived my whole life without it in the past. Because this luggage shelf almost makes me feel like I’m an organized, normal, adult human being. And I need that.
