Still proud of yourself for that one time you figured out how to solve a Rubik’s Cube after a week of shifting it around? Probably not as proud as Lucas Etter is right now. The 14-year-old let his fingers fly at River Hill Fall 2015, a Rubik’s Cube competition (oh yes, there are competitions… the kid’s got his own stat page, actually), solving the puzzle in 4.9 seconds — even faster than Justin Bieber!
4.9 seconds. Which is not only a new world record, but is also a whopping .6 seconds off his previous PR.
You can watch the action in the video above and smile despite yourself when Etter and all his friends lose their goddamn minds. Looks like you’ll have to start upping your Rubik’s Cube game from now on.
