Despite the fact that the people campaigning for it were forced to admit that it just was not a problem, McDonald’s blocked porn from its WiFi. So if, for some inexplicable reason, watching RedTube at Mickey D’s without burning through your data plan was on your bucket list, sorry. And if Starbucks was a close second, we have some bad news.
The coffee conglomerate joined efforts to prevent people from frothing the latte at their fine establishments. But unlike McDonald’s, where we at least found a handful of incidents proving that this could, conceivably, be a problem worth addressing at the Golden Arches, an overview of Starbucks finds… nothing. Despite the presence of smooth jazz, which the Playboy Channel taught a generation of men is the true test of whether you will get any, Starbucks appears, at least in the dining room, to be a singularly unerotic context. We can’t find a single incident.
Still, it’s worth noting that smartphone data networks are completely unrestricted, and that’s unlikely to change. So if Starbucks somehow had a perv problem it had kept extremely quiet before, said pervs will just switch over to data and keep on emptying the grande. But hey, um, at least Starbucks tried?
