With Star Wars: The Force Awakens coming to theaters this December, it would behoove Disney to try and get as many people as possible onto the galactic battle’s trolley by giving them better access to the series of films. A Blu-ray re-release of the complete saga is on its way in November — along with a bunch of cool gimmicks — that will help aid the quest to expose more people to the first six films, but really, what better way to do so than by having it on a streaming service like Netflix?
Reddit and Exstreamist were the first to begin circulating the news that Netflix might be bringing George Lucas’ vision to their platform, as one user was able to drum up similar incomplete title pages for all of the other Star Wars films except for Episode IV: A New Hope, which makes sense since that installment is under the 20th Century Fox umbrella. Netflix might still be working out the logistics of attaining rights to it.
Decider was able to contact a rep for Netflix, who said that,”…’pages workers’ are taking screen grabs from our DVD catalog and aren’t new. We don’t have any news on the streaming front.”
That sounds like it’s neither a “yes” or a “no,” and doesn’t really account for the fact that all of the information on the title page is complete, except for a picture and a play button. A Twitter user also posted screen grabs of other LucasFilm properties that have similar, unfinished Netflix title pages, which may indicate that the service struck a bulk deal for the LucasFilm/Disney titles.

We won’t know for sure until Disney or Netflix releases a statement, but the compiled evidence shows that The Force may be invading our queue some time very soon.
