Only days after the tragic death of Cathriona White—Jim Carrey’s ex-girlfriend—TMZ is reporting that the pills the 30-year-old make-up artist may have taken to commit suicide had been prescribed for Carrey, not for her. According to the gossip site, the prescriptions had been written for a “fictitious male” that law enforcement have confirmed to be Carrey, although it’s not clear whether the actor gave White the pills or whether she took them from his house before their break-up shortly before her death.

We’re told Cathriona White had prescriptions for Ambien (sleep aid), Percocet (painkiller), and Propranolol (blood pressure/heart) next to the bed where she OD’d. All 3 meds were prescribed by the same doctor.

No one has confirmed how and where White got the pills, but according to TMZ, authorities believe a combination of the drugs killed her. Friends, who had come to check on White, found her dead five days after she’d reached out to them heartbroken over her abrupt breakup with Carrey. A suicide note addressed to the actor was found with White at the time her death was discovered.
