Taking a break from filming the upcoming and very-much-talked-about reboot, the cast of Paul Feig’s (don’t call it Lady) Ghostbusters spent their Saturday making some kids pretty happy. Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones brought their proton packs to the Floating Hospital for Children in Boston, according to the Tufts Medical Center Facebook page.
“They were a true delight to have today,” said Brooke Hynes, Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications for Tufts Medical Center. “They were so kind to all the kids and their parents. They took their time in each room visiting children as young as a few months to teens. We cannot thank them enough for the happiness and excitement they created.” (Via WCVB)
Feig’s new take on the 1985 comedy classic has been filming in Boston for the last month, allowing us several opportunities to see the actresses in action. Additionally, the director has been Tweeting teaser images of the new versions of the old costumes and gear, as well as that wonderful Ecto-1. While this is not only a great opportunity to see the cast in their uniforms, but also a hell of a generous act, it is a little disappointing that they didn’t dress any of the kids up as an adorable Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.
That might have won all of the critics over once and for all.
