The cast and crew of Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been teaming with Omaze for a long-running charity benefit, complete with prizes for donors. The benefit already enlisted Harrison Ford to surprise fans. Now Mark Hamill has gotten in on it, too, by disguising himself as a stormtrooper and doing man on the street interviews with people who had no idea they were talking to a celebrity. Not a single person noted he was a little short for a stormtrooper.
There’s a fantastic moment at the end where he looks at the Star Wars: The Force Awakens poster and shrugs at his own absence from it. The best part, though, has got to be the woman who declares her love for “Mark Hamilton” while a still-masked Mark Hamill turns to camera. Who knew a stormtrooper mask could convey a sense of incredulity?
