Ed Sheeran, above all the fame and fortune, seems like a pretty decent human being. Honestly, it’s a rare thing among his peers. And when he isn’t expressing himself through his own award-winning music as well as covers of Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen,” OT Genasis’ “Coco,” or Christina Aguilera’s “Dirrty,” he’s helping others out with their versions of his songs.
While 13-year-old Sydney Bourbeau was performing “Thinking Out Loud” at a charity show taking place at a mall in Edmonton, Alberta, Sheeran just happened to be passing by and hopped up on stage to join in. She told the Edmonton Journal that she thought he was a sound guy fixing her mic until she actually realized it was him:
“‘I was like, should I stop? I didn’t want to stop, but I wanted to talk to him,’ she said. ‘This is, like, the best thing that’s ever happened to me…I was so happy that he did that,’ Bourbeau said through tears. ‘It was incredible.'”
After the impromptu guest appearance, she even got hooked up with tickets to his concert in town that night. It’s always at least a little refreshing when musicians are actually cool every once in a while.
