If you would have told me a couple of weeks ago that I’d be writing about Avril Lavigne in any capacity that didn’t involve Canada jokes, I would have called you a liar and said you shared a remarkable resemblance to Chad Kroeger. But then Josh shared with us the uplifting story of Danica McKeller wearing blue fishnets on the set of Avril’s new video and my perspective was forever altered.
So here’s Avril’s new video for “Rock N Roll” that’s easy to hate because of the music, the inspired song name, and the fact that it’s Avril Lavigne’s idea of a high concept post-apocalyptic music video, but at the same time impossible to hate entirely because of Winnie Cooper, a drunk-driving dog, a fight to the death with “Bear Shark” (does Ufford get royalties?), and — most importantly — Billy Zane blasting off on a Segway. Our friends at Vulture GIF’d that last part in record time…
