Chris Stapleton’s Next Album Has A Message Hidden In Plain Sight

Chris Stapleton is ready to hit the ground running. After a massive breakout in 2015, when he got a huge boost from winning New Artist of The Year win at the CMAs, Stapleton has been on a hot streak. His debut solo record Traveller turned heads in country music, even if Stapleton has been a staple (ha!) on the scene as part of various bands and as a behind-the-scenes songwriter for years now.

Now, he’s stepping out even further into the spotlight with a new album called From A Room, Volume 1. It follows up his premiere of new material, “Second One To Know” at the ACMs earlier this week. The title for the record comes from the studio where Stapleton recorded, along with country’s current Midas touch producer Dave Cobb, RCA Studio A in Nashville where legends like Waylon Jennings and Elvis himself have cut albums.

But the best part lays hidden in plain sight in the title — Volume 1 will be out soon, 5/5, but Stapleton also has a second volume coming later on in the year. So technically, it’s a double album, or you could consider it two albums. Meanwhile, I’m still waiting on that album from Morgane Stapleton’s wife to drop, too.
