Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are a social media power couple, so it’s no surprise that the model and singer would introduce their newest bundle of joy to the world on Twitter and Instagram. Their daughter, Luna Simone Stephens was born last Thursday, weighing six pounds and 11 ounces. (Stephens is John Legend’s real last name.)
John Legend announced the birth of his daughter on Twitter Sunday morning and the excitement could be felt through his tweet.
Our new love is here! Luna Simone Stephens, born on Thursday, the 14th. We couldn't be happier!

Chrissy, who is no stranger to Twitter jokes, said her husband is “healing perfectly” and is equally as excited about her brand new mom status.

The couple, who have been married since 2013, had been trying for a baby for awhile and had their struggles with fertility for the past few years. Six months ago, Chrissy announced her pregnancy on Instagram using the caption:
John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant :) As many of you know, we’ve been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family. We’re so excited that it’s finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching! Xx
Chrissy and John Legend specifically chose their baby’s gender when the model underwent in vitro fertilization late last year. Now, we’re wondering if little Luna Simone will look similar to the John Legend look-a-like baby that Chrissy was tired of seeing earlier this year? Time will tell.
