Glenn Beck hasn’t been shy about hammering home his apparent distrust of Donald Trump this election season. In a form of, lets maybe say satire, Beck dunked his face in a bowl of Cheetos to mock Trump. For some people, that’s comedy gold. However, the former Fox News host has championed those who share his right wing views, but he believes the Donald has crossed the line.
Beck is questioning his decision to bring on Breitbart News LLC Chairman Steve Bannon as his new campaign CEO. Bannon will be in charge of basically everything for the Trump campaign and seems to be a tough as nails addition. But Beck said on Right Wing Watch — from his own cozy version of the Oval Office — he is fearful of this partnership, calling Bannon “possibly the most dangerous guy in all of American politics,” and believes disaster lies ahead:
“There is a hall pass for the next 48 hours for all Republicans. Anybody who was on the bandwagon, Donald Trump has just given you the greatest gift and a warning: It’s going to get ugly and now is the time to jump ship. Now is the time to separate yourself and if you don’t, you are going to regret it.”
He went on to say that Bannon, along with the reported addition of Roger Ailes, creates a formidable campaign group, which will take no prisoners and may push Trump to continue his off-the-cuff rhetoric:
“You are going see things in the next 82 days that will make you go, ‘You gotta be kidding me,’ I think it’s going to be a bloodbath. What is coming will be an absolute bloodbath because these guys do not take prisoners. If you are not with them, they will destroy you and if you deviate from their path at all, they will destroy you.”
Yes, Glenn Beck is picking up the “voice of reason” hat here. And he makes a pretty sound point that Bannon and Ailes could be Trump’s yes men, who fuel his faith in what he has been saying on the campaign trail thus far. However, polls don’t seem to agree with Trump’s rhetoric, and some staffers are still in denial over this.
