Although some prominent Republicans (including Trump supporters) are completely freaking out about Russia’s attempts to manipulate the U.S. election, Sarah Palin has Donald Trump’s back. Palin, of course, is reportedly the frontrunner to lead the Department of Veteran’s Affairs, and she’s echoing Trump’s denial over the whole Russia situation.
After Palin absorbed the news about the secret CIA report full of detailed claims about Russia’s maneuvers, she took to Twitter with a bizarre train of thought. Palin characterized those who are concerned about Russia as “the defeated.” Then she alluded to being able to “keep an eye on them from here.”
Russia's getting out of hand? So says the defeated. Not to worry… remember I can keep an eye on them from here. https://t.co/jQBCDV5O3W

Palin’s choice of words evokes Tina Fey’s famous SNL performance as Palin. Fey snarked, “And I can see Russia from my house.” It must be noted that Palin’s never spoke those precise words, but the skit was based upon Palin’s interview with ABC News’s Charles Gibson: “They’re our next-door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska.” The sentiment was the same, for Palin was claiming insight into Russia by physical proximity, which could be why the SNL quote was popularly attributed to Palin herself.
She may not be too concerned about Russia, but Palin was awfully offended by the final White House holiday card from the Obama family. Palin took issue with how the card never explicitly used the word “Christmas.”
"Merry Christ… er… scratch that. "We Are the Obamas and It's Some Random Holiday!" https://t.co/lyXGK4woql

You can see the card below. It’s the end of an era, etc.
