Kendrick Lamar brought the music world to a near-standstill on Friday with the release of his hotly anticipated DAMN., The album was only a few hours old however before rumors started swirling around about a second Kendrick full-length project set to hit in just a few days. Reddit went into a frenzy with users alleging that Kendrick plans on dropping another album on Easter Sunday, to coincide with his headlining slot at Coachella.
There’s more. The same Reddit thread points out hints that there could theological ties between the pair of albums, with the possibility that Kendrick will be resurrected on Easter after being killed on Good Friday at the end of DAMN. Heavy stuff sure, but not entirely outside the possibility given the deep religious streak present on DAMN.
The speculation is continuing to be fueled, with several Top Dawg Entertainment execs tweeting hints that there might be more to come in the next few days .
