The Carolina Hurricanes have been showing off some incredible talent at their prospect camp this week. First, it was Sergey Tolchinsky, who embarrassed the goalie on two separate occasions with some sick puck-handling. On Thursday, it was Haydn Fleury’s turn.
The 19-year-old defenseman is generally regarded as the team’s top-rated prospect. The video above shows him improvising a shootout move that may indicate his game will not limit him solely to the defensive zone. With stick-handling like that, it would be just as easy to confuse him as a top forward prospect as well.
