After a back-and-forth matchup all night with Denver, the Chiefs looked poised to make a run for the endzone with a drive in the final moments of Thursday night’s game. That did not happen as you can clearly see, with KC fumbling the ball and opening the door for Denver to take the lead and eventually the game. If you needed a visual for how this probably feels for Chiefs fans, this guy should do the trick:
They certainly don’t have anything else to be disappointed about, unless someone wanted to knock both teams for their offense throughout the night. They were tough and kept the game competitive throughout, right up until the point when the ball slipped from their grasp. One mistake is all it took (though the team had five on the night and this was their second that ended in a touchdown for the other team).
That said, this was probably the best Thursday Night Football matchup I’ve seen in a long time. Hopefully they keep that up for the rest of the season, but I doubt it. It’ll probably go something like this:
