Cardale Jones stays winning, even when he’s taking an L. The Ohio State quarterback best known for throwing absolute rockets downfield, having a terrific sense of humor and being generally good at social media (aside from that one time) fired off another memorable tweet after losing out on the Best Breakthrough Athlete award to Mo’ne Davis at the ESPYs on Wednesday night.
Hold on! Wait a min! My first L in college comes from a FEMALE!! 😰 LMAO Jp, congrats again to Mo'ne Davis, HUGE FAN

Jones deserves to ride this wave he’s on for as long as it lasts. When you go from a third-stringer to winning the inaugural College Football Championship, you pretty much earned it. And to his credit he took the loss in stride, giving daps to Davis, who really was one of the best stories of the last year.
As for Jones, he’s turning his attention to winning the starter’s role in the fall. It’s not a given he’ll be under center when Ohio State opens the season, with Braxton Miller and J.T. Barrett still fighting for that spot too. But even if he doesn’t win it outright, he’s already established his place in college football lore. And it’s a pretty safe bet he’ll continue to be a must-follow on Twitter for a long, long time. Especially when he’s dropping gems like this:
Soooooooo @RondaRousey what you doing after the show?

@RondaRousey but if you already talking to a UFC fighter I'm cool 😂
