Sometimes, your plans for the future get in the way of what you want to do today. That’s especially true if you’re trying to get into heaven some day but the whole “block off a few hours of your Sunday for church” thing isn’t really your thing.
One church decided that, yes, some people like to watch football more than they like to go praise and worship once a week. So it came up with a solution: what if we put football on one of the screens we have and let people watch during the pastor’s sermon? It was a simple idea, but it’s kind of brilliant.
This church is apparently located in Dallas, so of course, it had the game between the Cowboys and the Ravens on. The folks in attendance probably left in the best mood of their lives, because not only did they get to leave full of the spirit of the lord, but the Cowboys moved to 9-1 on the season thanks to their 27-17 win. The best part, if you are one of the people who run this church, is that the church won’t have to worry about doing this until Dec. 11, because Dallas plays on Thursday each of the next two weeks.
