Monday night’s Stand Up 2 Cancer tribute before the final round of the thrilling Home Run Derby in Cincinnati was supposed to be a touching acknowledgement of those who have been affected by cancer. For many, it was just that, but a few questionable humans also used the moment to stand out on ESPN’s broadcast for their own personal motives.
First, we saw the guy who seized the opportunity to extend a proposal in marriage. It was dumb, but not overly disrespectful, especially because he simultaneously held up a cancer tribute card during his proposal.
