The Kardashian girls — Kim, Kendall, Khloé, Kourtney, Kylie, Bashful and Doc — are once again back in the headlines, but this time for reasons not associated directly with their derrieres. According to CBS News, LA-based artist Plastic Jesus has been placing “No Kardashian Parking” signs around Los Angeles in what can only be described as a public service to all of mankind.
The LA-based artist posted seven of the signs around the city (including one near Dash, the clothing store owned by Kim Kardashian and her sisters), telling The Hollywood Reporter the stunt is a commentary on America’s obsession with celebrity.
Plastic also had some surprisingly witty thoughts on America’s non-stop love of everything Kardashian:
“The Kardashian family has become ingrained in our culture,” he said. “We’ve allowed mainstream media to become so profit-driven, we are sacrificing genuine news stories to satiate our vapid celebrity obsessions.”
If Plastic Jesus keeps performing artistic stunts like this he might become more popular than good ol’ regular Jesus, or at least get his own crappy reality show on E!.
