Billy Eichner is a master at finding the strange ways in which completely disparate pop-cultural icons overlap. Santa’s reindeers and dating apps. Ariana Grande and a carrot. (Yes, carrots are pop-cultural icons now.) John Mayer and Pepe Le Pew. But the tangled web he weaves on Billy on the Street‘s season finale is, appropriately, his darkest yet: Kris Jenner and Geppetto.
In the clip above, Billy takes to the streets, as he is wont to do, to ask strangers difficult questions, including, “Did you know that in September 2014, they recreated the interior from Central Perk, the coffee shop from Friends, in lower Manhattan and people actually went? Like, to buy coffee?” (I did, Billy. I did.)
But the segment centers around a more important and much bleaker question: How much do Pinocchio’s puppet master and Kylie, Kendall, Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney’s puppet master have in common? Which did wonders with children that are made out of wood? Which manipulates children using strings? Which has a child many people refer to as a “puppet?” Which, uh, co-parents with “the turquoise fairy?”
Poor, sweet Whitney. She didn’t see that giant tire coming.
