Kate Hudson is not immune to Fallon frivolity. Mind you, celebrities always seem up for some silly fun on The Tonight Show, so it was kind of an inevability that we’d one day be treated to the sight of a Hudson/Fallon Dubsmash battle on network television.
The two stars emoted their guts out in this battle for lip sync supremacy. Host Jimmy Fallon hung in there admirably (he knows his way around these sorts of things), but Hudson steals the segment with ease. The Fabletics guru navigated Adele enormoballads and Ricola jingles with a special brand of charisma normally reserved for a mid tier (or higher) Drag Race performer that’s about to Lip Sync For (Their) Life.
Hudson tackling Adele is what’ll probably get you in the door, but be sure to stick around for the Hudson/Fallon duet of the Baha Men’s lo-fi indie classic “Who Let The Dogs Out.” Hudson mixes the acting skills of both a Golden Globe-winning thespian and the brash mugging of a mom to provide some incredible facial work in just a sliver of time. Why even audition for films at this point? Hudson should just email along her Baha Men Dubsmash work whenever she feels like sticking her neck out for a film. That’d have to earn her the part like 75 percent of the time.
