In one of the more bizarre news clips that doesn’t involve a funny old person becoming an Internet star or someone cursing, Canadian news anchor Alexis de Lancer became a viral video sensation last week when this clip surfaced of him suffering a sudden nosebleed as he was signing off from his RDI broadcast.
While this is the closest that we’ve come to seeing that head exploding scene from Scanners happen in real life, people were obviously concerned about de Lancer’s health, as is expected when blood spurts out of someone’s nose unexpectedly. Fortunately, the bleed was just a random occurrence, as de Lancer responded to his fans on Twitter by saying that he’s fine and it was just “bad timing”.
Obviously, it wasn’t as bad as some people made it seem, but they say the camera also adds 10 pints.
