The website bills itself as a way “for Americans to find the ideal Canadian partner to save them from the unfathomable horror of a Trump presidency.” And their CEO Joe Goldman says the response to the new site has been staggering.
“We have seen immense traffic on our site over the last few days, and signups have surpassed our expectations,” Goldman told Global News. “At this time, we are currently wait listing users and will begin matching as soon as we are able.”
Users who head to the site now are greeted with a picture of a couple staring at the Canadian wilderness and the tagline “Make Dating Great Again.” It’s a serene counterpoint to the din of folks losing their minds over Trump’s wide-open path to the GOP nomination.
