Amy Schumer and her crew, including sister Kim Caramele and boyfriend Ben Hanisch, were lucky enough to see Hamilton this weekend at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City, where Schumer made quite the impression on the theater’s bartenders. In an Instagram post which has since gone viral, bartender Madeleine DeJohn thanked the “amazing” Schumer for leaving a $1,000 tip on a $77 bar tab. And for New York City prices, that’s probably like, what — three, four drinks, max?
Schumer herself also posted a few photos of the night from backstage where they met the cast after the show — $1,000 tip notwithstanding.

When questioned about the generous tip by CBS New York, Schumer — once a bartender herself, just as a reminder — responded modestly, thanking the staff for a great night.
