In an administrative goof that has his lawyers looking silly, Jon Jones neglected to request that personal info like his phone number and address be removed from court documents shared with the press. The result? Everyone on the internet who wants his number now has it, and his phone is now ringing off the hook as trolls take the opportunity to bring their Twitter sh*t talk to a whole new level.

Jones has never been particularly good at keeping his private information private. A digits change was required after he accidentally put his phone number on Twitter, and a “Lost Cat” poster with another one of his numbers ended up on UFC forums last year. (FYI: His cat was found, no thanks to the internet.) But at least neither of those incidents occurred during one of his public relations disasters.

So, a couple of fans call him… big deal! I’d normally agree, but, as we learned after Jones refused to fight Chael Sonnen on a week’s notice, or after he tested positive for cocaine, UFC fans can be a bunch of jackals. Just ask @JonJones, the poor programmer who receives the large majority of Twitter hate mail that’s meant for @JonnyBones.

According to @JonJones, he’s gotten more than 10,000 tweets meant for the former Light Heavyweight Champ, from “You suck” to “I want your family dead.” Some of our favorites:

Also included in the New Mexico police reports was Jones’ home address. For some reason, I don’t think he’s too worried about anyone showing up to his house. Anyone who does… woah boy. If they’re lucky, he’ll just put the beating he was preparing for Anthony Johnson on them. Otherwise…
