Vince McMahon Says WrestleMania Will Be ‘Awesome’ Despite All Those Horrible Injuries

WWE WrestleMania 32 is less than two months away, and many fans are worried. John Cena, Randy Orton, Seth Rollins and other top stars are injured and not expected to be cleared in time to make the show. Daniel Bryan just retired. Former stars like Batista have turned down appearances at the event, and others like Stone Cold Steve Austin believe they have no reason being there even if they accepted. It’s getting so bad they might bring back Hulk Hogan. From so many points of view, the show looks like it could end up being a disaster.

“Relax, it’s fine,” says Vince McMahon, a guy who recently suspended someone for touching him.

During Thursday’s WWE conference call, the chairman explained how WWE would combat the recent string of injuries heading into what would be one of their biggest events of all-time, describing it as both “awesome” and “very attractive.” So … Tyler Breeze?

“By being creative. We’ll have an awesome WrestleMania. It’ll be very attractive to our audience, just as attractive as last year.”

It’ll be interesting to see what that means, especially from Mr. McMahon’s perspective. Some of us have been waiting for a Doomsday Cage scenario where the company is forced to change the way it does business from a creative standpoint, but with WWE still pulling in huge revenue, creativity hasn’t seemed like an important part of the process. WrestleMania 31 was a huge success, though, so if 32 comes anywhere close that, it’ll be a creative victory.
