It’s not Tha Carter V, but Lil Wayne has a little something something up his Trukfit sleeve for his long-suffering fans. The rapper appeared on The Nine Club With Chris Roberts skateboard podcast recently and revealed he recorded a new project that’s going to lead to a lot of slow singin’ and flower-bringin’.

Funeral is coming soon. That’s my music. Get your roses ready,” the Young Money rapper advised during his lengthy interview that touched on everything from Amazon Echo to his Samsung endorsement deal. While Funeral — be it an album or mixtape — doesn’t actually have a release date as of yet, Wayne says he does have some good news to share soon. “If you are a Lil Wayne fan, I know we’ve been going through some tough times, but if you’re a Wayne fan, we about to hold our heads high soon.” That’s great because it’s been pretty hard being a Wayne fan after that “Black Lives Matter? Huh?” mess.

It’s worth noting Wayne has been throwing up the diamond and shouting out Jay Z as of late. Two weeks ago, Tunechi was performing and called himself a “Roc-a-Fella Millionaire” when the original song lyric called for “Cash Money Millionaire.” We know he already has a deal with Tidal that was announced in 2015. The Jay Z connection and the previous “Fuck Cash Money” taunts reportedly led to Birdman “halting” lawsuit negotiations with Lil Wayne. If you’ll recall, Wayne is suing his dad for $51 million.
