Lil Wayne Explains What Led To His Supposed Retirement Tweets

Lil Wayne had everyone lighting a candle for his career when the Cash Money Records hostage tweeted he was “defenseless” and “mentally defeated” earlier this month. The tweets sounded like Wayne was giving up on his rap career and retiring, adding to the tweets, “I’m dun.”

Since then Tunechi has released “Grateful,” a Birdman diss featuring forgotten about Young Money rapper Gudda Gudda. And surprisingly, the Skip and Shannon: Undisputed theme song. So, what the hell is going on? Nothing much.

Wayne appeared on Undisputed Tuesday morning and clarified his surprising tweets. Apparently, we can just blame the NOLA rapper’s emotional tweets on him being a Libra. Seriously. “This is a tweet after an argument,” Wayne confessed to Skip Bayless before explaining how his zodiac sign affected his supposed retirement. “I’m a Libra [and] we’re known to not have no real emotions. We’re the only zodiac sign without a heart or so on the sign. It’s just a symbol.” Wayne went on to say “something” got him at his “tipping point” and forced him to “ball out” on Twitter, but that it was all over an argument over his money issues with Birdman.

It’s business. I have family, I have kids, I have a mother. I have bills. It’s business. Once the business is right then everything is right. I did feel that way and I didn’t take the tweet down because I still feel that way. Until something is done about it then maybe it’ll change.

And even if the business part finally did get right, Wayne said he won’t be working with Birdman again, replying “no sir” with a smile when asked about the possibility. Guess that’s that!
