Undefeated middleweight champ Gennady Gennadyevich “Triple G” Golovkin packs some of the best punching power in boxing today. Of his 34 wins, 31 have been via knockout, and he’s currently riding a 21-fight stoppage streak. The “God Of War” is also a bit of a pot hole, as numerous fighters have done their best to swerve out of his path of destruction.
Golovkin is set to face a mandatory challenger, the undefeated Dominic Wade, but before that happens, please enjoy this compilation of his greatest hits. And as long as you experience Golovkin’s punches safely behind a computer screen, they are “great hits” and not “cause of death.”
While it’s hard to pick a favorite, since they are all so great, I have a special place in my heart for Golovkin’s knockdown of Curtis Stevens. That’s clearly a face of “I am in way over my head here.”
Gennady “Triple G” Golovkin takes on Dominic Wade in the main event of Saturday’s HBO Boxing card, starting at 10 p.m. ET. Expect Wade to show up on the updated video in a few months down the line, hopefully when Golovkin is slated to fight Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, as I’ve been dreaming about for years.
