This year, the L.A Film Festival will end their event a bit differently than with previous years. Instead of a special screening, the festival will close with their first-ever live read. According to Variety, Eli Roth has been tapped to direct the staged reading of the 1982 classic Fast Times At Ridgemont High:
“I can’t think of a better way to close this year’s festival than with a live read!” said Stephanie Allain, director of the Los Angeles Film Festival in a statement. “Eli Roth is directing a quintessentially L.A. story.”
The cast will be announced through the L.A. Film Fest’s Twitter page. The live read for Fast Times At Ridgemont High will take place on June 18th.
