John Oliver took his criticism of FIFA to the doorstep of former FIFA official Jack Warner earlier this week, paying for time on Trinidad television to plead with Warner over his impending indictment while making plenty of jokes. It was glorious, but not as glorious as Warner’s own television appearances.
Well Warner apparently saw Oliver’s message and decided to return to television and provide a rebuttal to the comedian’s message. Complete with a very emotional soundtrack, the FIFA official shows the pain that Oliver’s TV spot caused not only to him, but also to the people of Trinadad:
“I do not need any advice from any comedian fool”
I expect to hear about this on Sunday night and if I don’t, I’ll be heavily disappointed for a few moments. Hopefully Oliver isn’t too under the weather from his Bud Light Lime party that was held at the end of last week’s episode.
