Ultimate cat lady Taylor Swift is obsessed with two things. She loves cats, obviously. She’s also enamored with Law & Order: SVU. In 2011, Taylor admitted her love for the show’s reruns: “I sit in my apartment and watch hours of that show. So, I sort of feel like me and Olivia are BFFs.”
Last summer, Taylor found a way to combine these twin interests. She adopted a Scottish fold kitten and named it “Olivia Benson.” Taylor revealed that feline Olivia was not as independent as her small screen counterpart: “She’s a stage-five clinger, for sure.”
It took awhile, but Olivia Benson finally met the “real” Olivia Benson. Actress Mariska Hargitay joined Taylor onstage on her Saturday night show in Philly (the second show, not the one where two superfans got hitched in the parking lot). Backstage, the two Olivias became fast friends. In her Instagram video, Taylor reported, “This is Olivia Benson meeting Olivia Benson, and, um, things are going well so far.”
Taylor also had a fangirl moment on Twitter. All this fuss, and no Chris Meloni to be found.
