LaMarcus Aldridge Announces His Decision To Sign With The San Antonio Spurs

Happy Fourth, San Antonio Spurs fans! Your team’s potential success beyond the Tim Duncan era has never seemed more imminent.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, LaMarcus Aldridge has agreed to a four-year, $80 million deal with San Antonio.

Star free-agent forward LaMarcus Aldridge has agreed to sign a four-year, $80 million maximum contract with the San Antonio Spurs, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

The four-time All-Star reportedly informed the Portland Trail Blazers he’d narrowed his free agency choice to the Spurs and Phoenix Suns on Friday night. Confirming weeks of speculation, he then told Gregg Popovich and company of his decision Saturday morning.

Aldridge, who turns 30-years-old later this month, will have a player option on his contract for the 2018-2019 season. The Texas native announced his much-anticipated decision on Twitter early this morning.
