Poor Drake. Dude just can’t catch a break when it comes to women denying to be dating him. First Riri, now Serena. This past week, Drake made it no secret he was at Wimbledon to support Serena Williams, sitting at Centre Court during the semifinals when she beat Maria Sharapova and showing up at Williams’ news conference after. But he was publicly friend-zoned by the tennis star, as she told a reporter, “We’ve been friends for, like, so many years, just like family.” Oh, the shame.
Now, questionable sources from a news outlet we’ve never heard of (Times Live) are reporting that Serena was just playing it cool, and there’s actually something between her and Drizzy:
“The 28-year-old singer and 33-year-old tennis champion were spotted kissing in the clubhouse after her victory against Victoria Azarenka in the Wimbledon quarter final earlier this week, and then embraced him after her press conference on Friday, following her win, and was heard joking with him about being grilled on their relationship.”
A source said: ‘’Publicly she says they’re just friends but Drake has been by Serena’s side throughout the tournament and when they’ve been away from the public and relaxed, it’s been pretty obvious that they are together.
As for signs of true love on either celebs’ social media, Williams of course has kept it cute and innocent, posting selfies while sunbathing in Sweden post-win.
And you never know what to expect from the bizarre grabbag of tortured memories and moments Drake calls his Instagram account, so his post of Serena holding her trophy after her win is sadly the most normal thing you’ll see on his page.
