Jason Segel, the Muppets, and cameos by Paul Rudd and Olivia Wilde were enough to make this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live” the episode a few weeks ago. (Oh, and Florence + the Machine were there, too.)
Fittingly, the quality of the show matched Day’s energetic performance as host. While I find the Kissing Family sketch to be insultingly stupid and cheap, I’ll admit that there are probably Warming Glow readers who want to see Jason Segel’s tongue in Paul Rudd’s mouth. So there you go.
On the following pages are my favorite sketches of the night, including an ’80s-hot Olivia Wilde and Segel’s incredible Andre the Giant impression.

I’ve never not enjoyed the Muppets singing a song.

Nothing but masturbation jokes. I approve.

The only way this could be better is if it were Kermit and Tina Fey.

An average digital short gets elevated by the exquisite hotness of Olivia Wilde.

This is great. It probably wasn’t worth building a full-length sketch around Segel’s pitch-perfect Andre the Giant impression, but this is quirky enough to be funny without overstaying its welcome. One of the highlights of the night for me.

The “writer’s sketch” didn’t have much in the way of laughs, but I found it odd enough to be sort of charming. Plus, you know me: I’m a sucker for Paul Rudd cameos. I’d totally stick my tongue is his mouth. For, uh, comedic effect. You know, to get laughs.
