There’s still a lot of mystery surrounding the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie, with DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. slowly releasing tiny details drip by drip en route to the movie’s premiere date of March 25, 2016. The best look we got at everything came from the trailer released at Comic-Con, but even that didn’t show us a nice clear look at Ben Affleck’s new Batman costume.
Empire magazine is giving us just that… a non-shadowy photo of the batsuit — or, should I say, one of the batsuits, as it seems like Batfleck has at least two different suits for this film — a regular crime-fighting suit and whatever that mecha Iron Man meets Batman suit with the glowing eyes is all about. Whatever, it’s already the coolest thing to come out of the film.

So what do you think of the caped crusader’s main outfit as shown in this Empire cover story photo? He’s looking a little beefy as compared to past iterations of Batman. I don’t miss the overly sculpted abs and nipples and whatnot we’ve seen in past iterations, but he kinda looks like a bodybuilder sausage stuffed with protein powder, especially standing next to Superman.

There’s also this new shot of Superman standing in a scary abandoned building looking all broody. They’ve certainly got a solid handle on setting the dark and bleak mood for this movie. Now, we just have to wait until March to see how it all ties together.
