Director Jason Alexander — not the Seinfeld actor — has been arrested on suspicion of creating and promoting child pornography. Known for his work on Law & Order and the FX series Rescue Me, The Wrap reports that Alexander was hit with two felony counts on Wednesday:

According to the D.A.’s office, Alexander, of Dobbs Ferry, New York, has been charged with one count of promoting a sexual performance by a child, a class D felony, and one count of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, a class E felony. Both charges stem from allegedly possessing and file-sharing illegal and obscene performances of sexual conduct by children younger than 17.

The D.A.’s office further stated an investigator downloaded some incriminating content which linked back to Alexander’s IP address. After a search warrant was issued, the forensic examination of the man’s computer hardware turned up digital files of girls under 16 years of age engaging in pornographic content. The 51 year old actor/director’s bail was set at $10,000 and if he’s convicted, he’ll face up to seven years in state prison.
