J.J. Watt has been making the meet and greet rounds with celebrities this offseason, but one of his best run-ins didn’t involve a celebrity at all. It involved Vince Wilfork’s daughter, Destiny. Wilfork, of course, joined the Texans this offseason after spending 11 seasons with New England. “One of the reasons I came here was because of my daughter,” Wilfork said via ESPN.com. “She said the only reason she was going to move here is if she got a chance to meet him. I said, ‘OK, well’ and I made that promise some months back. It finally paid off for me right now.”
Watt obliged. Here was the message on Bianca Wilfork’s Instagram account:
Destiny was not happy about moving …. Until she realized @justinjames99 played for @houstontexans she said daddy if we move to Texas and you sign this contract you have to have JJ Watt over for a BBQ and I have to meet him…. He sent her a special video to hold her over and today her wish came true ! Thanks @justinjames99
The offseason of J.J. Watt continues.
