Billy Hamilton‘s insane athleticism has led to quite a few “wow'”moments around Major League Baseball over the past few years (see here and here). Tuesday night’s game in Cincinnati might have given us the most impressive one yet.
The Reds centerfielder absolutely robbed Jason Heyward with an insane leaping grab while running out toward deep center, preventing a leadoff extra base hit late in a one-run game against the Cardinals. Hamilton’s combination of speed and hops helped him come up with one of the best web gems of the entire season. It was so good that Hamilton himself couldn’t seem to believe he pulled it off.
Seriously, just keep watching this on loop. Billy Hamilton is so much fun.
