While doing press for his Crystal Head Vodka, original Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd sat down with the folks over at Pedestrian.TV and talked a bit about Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters reboot. Aside from briefly mentioning his small cameo in the upcoming movie, Aykroyd made it a point to state that the new flick doesn’t need any of the 1984 film’s original actors. Here, he goes on to express complete adoration with the new movie’s cast by calling them “Funny, cute, adorable, appealing, and smart. Real smart.”
Throughout the brief conversation, Aykroyd made note of the ghost he’d like to play on screen, touched on the famous cigarette scene from the original movie, and praised his good buddy Bill Murray who, as he puts it, has a “mega mega superstar high wattage massive charismatic appeal.”
Not for nothing, but I totally want to take a road trip with Bill Murray now.
