IndyCar driver Justin Wilson drove into the wreckage from Sage Karam’s crash with 21 laps to go in the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway today and appeared to get hit in the head with debris. Wilson then crashed into the wall on his own, lending credibility to the idea he had been knocked out by the collision. Wilson was airlifted to the hospital and his status is still unknown. Justin’s brother Stefan is en route to Pennsylvania and asking for patience:
I have no update on his condition, he’s been moved to the local hospital, and I’m trying to get there to be with him. Please don’t speculate

Thoughts are obviously with Wilson and his family that he’ll be OK, and this will just go down as another example of the danger racers face each and every week. Ryan Hunter-Reay won the race after a delay to clean up the wreckage from both crashes.
