Kris Boyd is a true freshman cornerback for Texas who came to Austin as one of the most highly-regarded prospects in the class of 2015. On Saturday, the Longhorns spent most of their afternoon getting whooped by TCU – it’s so bad that there’s a chance that it can go down as one of the worst losses in school history. The halftime score was 37-0 TCU, and apparently, Boyd wasn’t too happy with how things were going on the field.
In fact, Boyd was so upset that he decided to retweet a Texas A&M fan who would like to see the Longhorns’ defensive back and kick returner in College Station. There’s just one problem: Boyd allegedly retweeted this during halftime of Saturday’s game.
While this looks really, really bad for Boyd – who was heavily recruited by the Aggies out of high school – there is always the chance that someone else has the password for his Twitter account and decided to retweet this person out of their own personal frustration. Still, that looks like a bit of a long shot, and the simplest answer is that Boyd took out his cell phone during halftime, saw that this person tweeted at him, and decided to hit that person with a retweet.
No matter what, we’d love to hear what Longhorns coach Charlie Strong has to say to Boyd about this incident when he learns what happened.
